Praise Behind the Walls

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)

Praise Behind the Walls

Our quarterly newsletter entitled, “Praise Behind The Walls™” is mailed to all our pen pals, volunteers, and friends of the Ministry.  Our pen pals are encouraged to submit articles, poems, artwork and songs they’ve written for consideration, as well as their testimonies.  It is our desire to encourage them to learn to be a blessing to others who may be suffering with the same life issues and to help them learn to keep their focus on God as they learn to walk with Him.  You may print off a copy of any of these newsletters by clicking on the picture below.

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 1. Issue 1

In this newsletter we explore the goodness of God by examining the nature of our relationship with Him. He is our salvation, help in time of trouble, healer, peace, provider, and constant companion. We praise Him for the way that He works in our lives in each of these ways.

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 1. Issue 2

In this newsletter we discuss the importance of learning to commune with God, the simple act of spending time in prayer with Him. We remind readers that prayer is a two-way conversation in which we speak of our wants, plans, hopes, and fears, but also take time to listen to God’s Counsel to gain courage to face adversity, changes to our plans, direction for our life, or confirmation that our plans are right. This issue tells us why we pray and how to pray following the Lord’s Prayer as a model.

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 1. Issue 3

In this newsletter we explore Our Savior’s Love for us. The Easter message of the death and resurrection of Christ is the greatest display of love ever written. In His death and resurrection are the seeds of abundant life for us (now and eternally) through forgiveness of sin and freedom in spirit.

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 1. Issue 4

In this newsletter we discuss making a life change.  New life begins with the decision to repent (the process of changing our mind from our old way of thinking to please our selfish desires to God’s way of thinking of serving God and others). To make effective, long-term change, we must look at the person in the mirror and hold him or her honestly accountable for the bad choices of the past and release them to God seeking His Forgiveness, then choose to walk away from those choices and follow God’s Word.

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 1. Issue 5

In this newsletter we discuss the importance of following Jesus. When we partner with God in every area of our life we turn the losses of our past decisions into gain in the future through the process of spiritual healing and restoration. Sin, like a cancer, eats away at our spirit and its temporary pleasure comes to us at a great price. When we choose to become a disciple of Christ and follow Him with all of our heart, then we open the door to receive God’s Best for us in all situations (good and bad) knowing that He is always with us and will never leave us alone.

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 1. Issue 6

In this newsletter we discuss the importance of studying God’s Word regularly.  To obey God we must first study His Word to know what He has told us to do. Bible Study, along with prayer and praise, service to others, and fellowship with other believers is the way in which we grow in His Grace. This issue answers the following questions: What is the Bible, Why should I study the Bible, How can I study the Bible, and What can I do with the new knowledge that I learn from Bible study?

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 1. Issue 7

In this newsletter we discuss the importance of recognizing our Savior. When Christ was born in a manger in Bethlehem, many people did not see Him as King because a birth in a stable is not the way that they thought Messiah would come. But, through revelation from God through angels or His Star, some recognized Christ. Today, through the revelation of God’s Word and confirmation in our spirits, we see Him as Savior, Lord, King, and Friend who sticks closer to us than a brother. This issue lists some of the names given to Jesus Christ in the Word of God.

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 2. Issue 1

In this newsletter we discuss the importance of learning to abide with the Savior and forgiving ourselves for past mistakes. Because of our past many of us feel unworthy to be called of God to do anything for His Kingdom. A secret is that before we did whatever action we feel that was so bad to make us unworthy of God’s Love and calling, we were still unworthy because of the sin into which we were born. We are made worthy through forgiveness granted by Jesus. Remember, God does not call the qualified to serve Him He qualifies those whom He calls to serve.

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 2. Issue 2

The abiding love of God is with us at all times in our lives. His Love never leaves us alone to face the trials of life. He longs to spend time with us. Many times we get into a hurry and do not slow down to take the time to spend with Him to learn of His Plans to bless us. He loves us enough that He sent His Only Son, Jesus, to die on a cross in our place so that the fellowship that was lost through the sin of Adam and Eve could be restored with all of humanity.

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 2. Issue 3

Freedom in spirit is available through Christ when we surrender our will to His Will for our life. He has a plan for our life (Jeremiah 29:11-12) that includes abundant life now (John 10:10) and eternal life in Heaven with Him (John 3:16), if we will open our hearts and accept it.

Praise Behind The Walls Newsletter – Volume 2. Issue 4

Many times we hear people say that they are trying to “find God”. To find God we need only to open the Bible to read and learn of Him or to pray with an open heart to receive what He has to say to us. In this Christmas edition we find that Jesus is the Light of the World to lead us to God. Wise men still seek Him today
