How You Can Help

We need people willing to commit themselves to Volunteering to become one of our pen pals.  This is a person in the free world committed to writing letters of encouragement and hope to prison inmates and praying for them regularly. 

Why Become A Pen-Pal?

If you are undecided about becoming a volunteer pen-pal for our ministry and need to understand just how important this action is to God’s kingdom, read the responses below that we’ve received from several inmates on our pen pal list, we believe this will help you realize what a difference you can make in someone else’s life and why we think it is so important.

John writes, “It is a blessing to those of us that are incarcerated to know that someone on the outside cares enough to write to us. To some of us, your letter might be the only one that we receive. Often times, the longer we are incarcerated, friends and family quit writing us until there is no one on the outside for us. I have been praying to God that He might put someone in my life that cares enough to write a line or two. I try not to get discouraged, but sometimes that gets really hard to do.”   Michael writes, “I want to thank you for taking time out of your life to write these words of hope and encouragement. For a while there I really just wanted to give up. I was always thinking negative thoughts about getting out of here and not having anything left. But, you have given me hope and I really need to thank you. Thank you very much.”   Leroy writes, “Thank you for the Encouraging Hope.  It is a blessing to me. Please continue to send every edition to me to help me continue to grow in my faith. I believe that God put you into my life to help me to stay strong in Christ. I have never had so much encouragement in my life.
